The opportunity to continue our relationships with smallholder farmers and supply chains determined our decision to return part of our New Zealand team to Indonesia. As a tourism dependent economy Balinese and other Indonesian people is experiencing significant hardships from displacement from hospitality sector employment to subsistence agriculture.
During the next few months in Bali we are focusing on green banana flour supply chains and virgin coconut oil production, both projects are areas where we have been working for the past few years as food loss prevention and value addition change agents.
