A FUNCTIONAL FUTURE
Functional oils and powders have compounds that support health in easy-to-use formats. Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, and beneficial bacteria support digestive health, intestinal flora and gut function; mental strength; immune systems; heart health; quality sleep; nutrition, hydration and electrolyte replenishing.

UNIQUELY NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand’s pristine environment, unpolluted air, high ultraviolet light intensity, and specially bred varieties results in its super berries having the highest anthocyanin levels in the world.
Plant Derived Therapeutics
The role of plant-derived therapeutics in modern healthcare is self-evident. Medicinal plants have been utilized for thousands of years, and can be traced as source compounds in more than 25% of currently marketed pharmaceuticals.
Vegan Coconut Oil & MCT Oil Powder
Coconut oils unique fatty acids may have significant effects on health, including fat loss, improved brain function and immunity support. Coconut oil is the highest natural source of lauric acid, a medium chain triglyceride (MCT) comprising half the fatty-acid content of coconut oil, relatively uncommon, found in human breast milk, cow’s and goat’s milk its derivative monolaurin inhibits antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the lipid coated viruses that affect human and animal health.

Special Collaboration
New Zealand’s indigenous Taonga species (native species of particular importance to Māori) offer exciting potential for metabolic health product development in anti-viral, antibacterial and antioxidant platforms, enabled by respectful collaborations and partnerships with Tangata Whenua (Indigenous landowners) that recognise and value Māori rights and interests in these species.
Properties of Lauric Acid C12
C12 has special properties that are not shared even by other MCFA. Its distribution in the small intestine is variable and it has extremely strong antimicrobial properties.
C12 is recognized as the most effective antimicrobial fatty acid. C12 and its monoglyceride, monolaurin, have significant antimicrobial activity against gram positive bacteria and a number of fungi and viruses. Considering its antimicrobial property, it is an important feature that some C12 can enter the bloodstream to provide antimicrobial protection.
Bio Active Lipids
The general human health functions of Bio Active Lipids include ameliorating heart disease and inflammation, maintaining optimal metabolism and cell growth, repairing skeletal muscle, early neurological development, and prevention of neurological disorders.
Published research on Bio Active Lipids beneficial contributions to Metabolic Syndrome is accelerating lipids consumer product market behaviour within Marine Phospholipids Omega 3’s and medium chain triglyceride’s ketone bodies action within mitochondria.
Medium Chain Fatty Lipids
A unique feature that sets the group of MCFA’s (C6 to C12) apart is that they are not generally present in human abdominal fat and liver fat, and are not constituents of serum lipids, whether as triglycerides or phospholipids.
Another distinguishing characteristic is that they are rarely found attached to cholesterol as fatty acid ester derivatives.
INTEGRATION
O&P has established upstream social impact agri-businesses within indigenous farmer supply-chains in developing countries, and services the social impact outcomes as the downstream innovator, connecting farm gate production to high value consumer products.
